Mac Book Thin and MBP : Wud it delay the MBP upgrade

The rumor has been from a long time that Apple is going to release a Ultra Thin ( about 1/2 " thick ) Mac Book - refered to as MacBookThin (MBT). If AppleInsider is to be believed the MBT would indeed make its debut at the MacWorld 2008. Would this mean that Apple was focusing so much on the MBT that it might have decided to delay the Upgrade of MBP ??

I dont think so, but it is possible - i am keeping my fingers crossed as i have been waiting to buy the new MBP from a long time.

Please post comments or any info about MBP update ... Thanks !

Whats So Special abt MBP's

Mac Book Pro's are one of the best Notebooks available in the industry. Why ? because of their hardware and design capabilities. Apple is one company which does care about asthetics  a lot and does not compromise on performance either.

The fact that the MBP was the leading notebook to run Microsoft Vista faster than others gives us enough  proof that there is a beast inside this beauty. The numerous innovations packed under this 1 inch thick alluminum casing does make us want to get one of them.

The Pro's :

Great Hardware, Superb Design, Unbeatable allround performance

The Con's :

Expensive compared to similar notebooks, RAM Upgrade too expensive - though you could buy the seperate RAM urself and save a fortune.

The New MBP @ Mac World 2008

Apple's High End notebook - the Apple Mac Book Pro (MBP) has not got a update since June 2007 and as apple usually upgrades its MBP in about every 6 months it would be fair enough to anticipate a update in Jan 2k8.

But the intersting thing to note is that Intel has announced the release of their new 45 nm Penryn Processors on Jan 8 just before the Mac World. Could this mean that MBP's will have Penryn inside them ? Yes is the answer if they do get an Upgrade, Apple will go for Penryn as these processors have increased cache (L2) memory to 1.5 times their predecessors and are less power consuming, which means cooler notebooks.

Though they might not have any price increase in the upcoming models the Question which remains is what will be the Additional Features in these models.
